So, there's a lot of heavy breathing and buildings tumbling down in the first teaser trailer for director Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, and that's about it. Okay, so there's a little bit more, but not enough for us to piece together what the hell is going on besides the vague outline of "Godzilla" terrorizing the city of New York... and Elizabeth Olsen. (It looks like theGodzilla reboot is holding out on showing us the entirety of its beast like the The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug did with its titular character.)
Basically, it seems like they've got the action and energy ready to go. But as far as a cohesive plotline or themes... well, you're just going to have to cross your fingers and hope that the next trailer lends more insight into that area.
