The other day I made a comment about how good George Clooney looked in a tux, and my 15-year-old said something that broke my heart, “I guess he looks OK. For an old guy.” I should have punished her, but she’s taller than me and I have a really hard time putting her in a choke hold these days.
So I did the next best thing: I sat down with her and my 17-year-old and had them tell me which movie stars that they thought were hot so that I could say things like, “I guess he’s OK. For an infant.” Here’s the list of who’s hot in Hollywood right now, according to two teen girls and some of their friends on Tumblr. Feel free to bust it out the next time you strike up a conversation with someone in line at Chipotle.

1. Logan Lerman—Known for his role as Percy Jackson in the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series, he became every teen girl’s dreamy awkward boyfriend after starring in The Perks of Being A Wallflower. According to my 15-year-old, he’s the "It" boy now, and way cuter than George Clooney.

2. Chloë Moretz—People got their panties in a twist when a 12-year-old Chloë sliced people up as Hit Girl in the edgy, violent Kick Ass but she became a favorite antihero with teens. (Adults breathed a little easier when Roger Ebert singled out her performance while slamming the film.) She endured a horrific prom night covered in pig’s blood in last year’s Carrie.

3. Zac Efron—He was hot, then he was not, now he’s hot again! After making his debut in Disney’s High School Musical he got overexposed and all the fickle teens shunned him like last semester’s skinny jeans, but after seeing his toned arms on the big screen in the Lucky One they changed their minds. They almost forgave him for breaking up with Vanessa Hudgens.
